estate sheet music

Showing 10 covers of many, maybe 30 pieces that will be coming to Acorn over
Mothers day weekend. That's Saturday 9-5 and sunday 10-4
Most of this music is from the 1940's!

We pulled a lot of our buried pieces, a lot of them industrial, garden type, rusty from the depths of the garage today. We had to get that lawn mower out! So everyday we continue to get ready for the Acorn and for the BIG BIG yard sale here at home shop that will be the last week of May. wed-Friday or sat.  WAAAAAAY too much stuff will be out in the driveway, come one come all!

Puzzled

I bought this puzzle to do some altered art things with...Carl un beknownest to me loves to put together puzzles. How can you know someone 42 years and not know they love to put puzzles together? He had it done within 24 hours, he would sneak in from outside and piece away!
He wants to do the coke a cola one...I kind of want to hide it for a snow day with so much to do getting ready for Acorn antique show, the yard sale etc.

He said as a child he loved to do them, and he thought his mother loved it so he'd stay out of her way!

Here are 5 different sized clip boards, I put the sections of puzzles on. I may add some odds and ends to them, just not sure what right now.

Kind of fun, and a little piece of art work to decorate a spot or gift someone.
Love the graphics?

Here a bird sits among the dried hydrangea's in a REAL birdnest from the front porch. It's sitting in a silverplate oval dish.

I bought two bins of these fun large spools of yard, twines etc.

Jars filled with vintage reminiscent of Mothers for mothers day show.

Here a vintage cake plate and dome with some paper art.

a metal topped cake dome with more paper art for the kitchen.

and a dainty german plate with roses with dome and tied with silk embroidery threads.

Having fun...plan on seeing you over mothers day weekend!

Create

Old carpenter aprons from an estate...I'm making them into a décor piece...these are not finished.

They were hanging in an old estate shed...I cleaned and pressed and picked a theme.

It's fun to see them back in use again...or soon as they will be for purchasing at the Acorn antique show coming up over mothers day weekend.

Here's a smaller one from Lucas builders supply.

...
all I need for this is some bird eggs...metal tote floral.

We have some antique furniture coming to the show...this piece is oak, with bakelite handles and a very unique shaped mirror.
Here a library table...the center folds out as shown in following photo.

Now it's bigger.  all original

Olde Carpenter estate aprons

A week ago I discovered upon these three old carpenter aprons at an estate. They were hanging on a big rusty nail, covered in years of dirt and stains, and some cobwebs of course!

I threw them in my pile (hoping Mr. Roses would pull them back out), brought home to wash and wash and wash then press.

I'm challenging myself to do something fun with them, in a decorative way so I will back within the week with the finished project.

A new big pile of old metal framed lampshades , these we threw in the outdoor weed fire to make them look even older...always trying something to get that patina!

Finally we have another great big mailbox...oh they are hard to come by...and a cream o weber milk box in metal will be at the antique show.

While in salt lake shopping with friends e went to Mom and Me scrapbook store and found a lot of fun vintage paper for some projects.

Wish there were more time to play...the days seem to go by so fast don't they.
One good thing the weather will be on our side this week!

cleaning these up...

This door happens to be the BIGGEST door we have ever purchased...it's taking a lot of cleaning up
but it's worth it!

Metal cubbies...story to go with this one, Mr. Roses found this in a garage at an estate and would not leave it until it was emptied and off the wall, about 1 1/2 hours  while I had to shop the 3 story home by myself! He was a little bit in trouble...but then I realized, it's just stuff and he has enjoyed going through all those nuts and bolts!

Very old trunk, primitive, dove tailed with wooden nails. The owner told me it was where him and his brother put their clothes, they didn't have drawers and such.

Big double sided oak chalkboard(we replaced the chalkboards), it's so nice and heavy duty, storage for your art supplies etc.

Found this handmade rolling chair in the garage, pretty clever!

Big antique lattice garden frame will be made into a giant chalkboard.

TAble tennis has never been out of the box...the box is roughed up a bit, but never opened!

Metal containers will be in supply for summer planting etc.

vintage art...this is poppies in watercolor

sorting thru some of our personal goods to bring, toys and fun things
