A real eye opener to me...University Art Show

Dress Horse
I have my own idea what this is about, what are you thinking?
The apple is my biggest thing, to me it represents the garden of eden when Eve asked Adam to partake of
the forbidden fruit...if it wasn't for that they would still be naked wouldn't they?
This particular horse reminds me of Black beauty, popular, famous.
Dress represents a frilly woman, femininity.
Shellie going to talk to her about what the artist was thinking.

Girlfriend
His girlfriends face
This guys is in LOVE right!
I think he should give it to her, but he won't part with his paintings.
Isn't it beautiful!

Bursting at the seams!
Easy to relate to, right!
Pottery house bulging and pouring out its houses contents!

Shellies chicken
She was accepted into the art show with it
It's just not so ordinary and came from a live shot.
This chicken I would not mess with although
its so fluffy you would love to pet it.
I wouldn't!

University art room environment
quite shocking to me.
This was an hour after our earthquake and I know the CEMENT
building was swaying...somehow
I think it always resembles this look.
Kind of the EARTHQUAKE DESIGN!

Steel, cement & paint...not MY kind of working environment
Shellie is very happy there creating.
School has been challenging and has made her expand
beyond what she ever thought.

Their sink...wonder how many years it took to make this abstract piece of art?
What a treat to attend this art show of college students
to be with them and enjoy their art.
A real eye opener to me.
No lie.

It isn't costly...

A poem by Edgar Guest.
Jeni had a great idea and did a good deed
it was to dig out all the antique books hidden away
in our back room
to enjoy!
IT ISN'T COSTLY:
Does the grouch get richer quicker than
the friendly sort of man.
Can the grumbler labor better than
the cheerful feller can?
Is the mean and churlish neighbor any cleverer
than the one
Who shouts a glad "good morning," and then
smiling passes on?
Just stop and think about it. Have you ever
known or seen
A mean man who succeeded, just beccause he
was so mean?
You can bet he didn't win them just because
he was a grouch.
Oh, you'll not be any poorer if you smile along
your way,
And your lot will not be harder for the kindly
things you say.
Don't imagine you are wasting time for others
that you spend:
You can rise to wealth and glory and still pause
to be a friend.

There should be around 8 new florals coming in also...one has an old door knob plopped  in it and another is made in an old metal pan with a handle...so fun!

Mother Nature is ALWAYS in charge...

Mother Nature lets us know who is in charge... always...rather this than an earthquake. Our antique swingset was out there swinging all by itself this morning!
Now the skies are blue and shiney
???????????.

No matter what the weather its THAT TIME to bring SPRING into our life before it slips into our HOT SUMMERS we complain about in July.

These were made last night...I was struggling with some anxiety.
Aren't they fun in the Faucet buckets and florals in lime greens
so refreshing!

Last night I was so anxious after watching the 2 hour show 24, did you see it?  Oh my heck!
Mr. Roses  told me a man he works with got seriouly sick at work and by the time paramedics got him to the hospital he had a major heart attack.  Then mr. Roses had a blizzard to drive home in, one of the worst he has been in for some time.
Ahh Anxiety can be productive!
These florals will be in the shop Wednesday.
Shop will be open today noon-5:00.
call: if you need...801-451-2556

A Backstage Pass

One voice...on the road with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir...
For the FIRST TIME EVER, get a behind the scenes look at the Mormon Tabernacle Choir as they take you with them on their 2009 summer tour across the Midwest.
You'll get an inside view of the process of moving, feeling, interviews with the choir and orchestra members and most important  the way the audience members across America are touched by the Choirs musical virtuosity and love for the Lord.

This is byutv...NOT kbyu or channel 5 tomorrow.
                      preview: mormontabernaclechoir.com
This is inbetween the conference sessions.

Watch tomorrow:
Sunday: April 4 at 12:00
Tuesday April 6 @ 9:30 p.m.
Tuesday April 13 @ 1:30 and 7:30 p.m.
Sat. April 17 @ 11)) p.m

On a personal note, because we traveled with them on this 13 day tour we have looked forward to this hour presentation.

It was a turning point in our lives, never did we dream that it would have the spiritual impact on us that it has done. I can't even say the words  Mormon Tabernacle choir without losing my voice and holding back a flood of tears.
They are special HUMBLE and TALENTED people.

We all know and have turning points in our lives and how they change us and we are never the same again.
Thought it would go away, but it seems to get stronger.

IF I were not running a shop (and had money of course) my days would be dedicated  in volunteer service of this lovely heavenly choir as I think they are the most wonderful thing in the world...besides my family. Maybe that day will come,  sure hope so.

If you get a chance to watch it this week let me know what your thoughts are.  It will be curious how they put 13 days into one hour!
It is SO FASCINATING how they organize this group.

Have a wonderful Easter Day and lets all be thankful for the Atonement of Christ... forgiveness of our sins and everlasting life.
